Improve your Snatch Technique

“Attention to detail is not about perfection. It’s about excellence, about constant improvement.”
– Chris Denny

Head coach Adam White has been teaching people how to snatch for the last 8 years, through his practice he has found that the devil is in the details.

Take his course and you will learn:

1. How to set up

Learn how to set up based on your limb lengths and your current flexibility.
A lot of lifters are more comfortable from the hip and hang positions, sometimes this can be caused by a simple lack of pulling strength but most of the time it is due to an incorrect start position.

2. How to achieve balanced feet and use a mix of legs and back to bring the bar up the body.

It is easy to lose balance in the pull, this often reveals itself by the lifter lifting their toes or heels in the pull.

Learn how to stay balanced and use your legs and back to bring the bar into your hips.

3. How to extend and pull under the properly

It is paramount that a lifter learns to extend the hips correctly in order to direct the momentum produced in the pull in an upward direction.
From there use of the arms come into play to pull yourself under the bar.
